Oh, the joys of the second baby. I have so much more confidence as a mama to my second. It feels like everything is just sweeter because you know how fast time flies! After having two, my love for photographing families and littles has grown so much. As an Oklahoma studio photographer, I have a soft spot in my heart for moms, especially my fellow 2 under 2 families!

Celebrating Daughter #2 with Lifelong Friends

My husband and I traveled south to Denton, Texas, from Edmond, Oklahoma for this session with Katelynn, Andrew, & Emma (+ a little kid-free getaway at the Omni Golf Resort in Frisco). I found this adorable light-filled studio called The Lumen Room and it couldn’t have been better! Oklahoma studio photographers have it made here in Edmond/OKC, but wow, I was impressed. The morning light and big garage windows made for the dreamiest day. Mornings are unmatched when it comes to taking photos of toddlers!

If you can handle 2 under 2, you can do anything!

I recommend taking maternity photos between 32-34 weeks. This is the perfect time to have a round, adorable bump. This is the sweetest time to to celebrate the last weeks as just the two of you, or adding more littles. You’re so close to the end! Ugh, now I have baby fever…

When it comes to choosing what to wear for your studio maternity session, I love maxi or midi dresses! A dainty floral, solid pastel, or white are some of my favorites. Katelynn got her dress from Amazon, can you believe it? It was the perfect girly dress for our studio session. Her daughter, Emma, was wearing the cutest bubble romper from Rylee+Cru, and her husband Andrew was wearing a classic tee from Abercrombie.
